Patrice Gaines is an author and motivational speaker, co-founder of the Brown Angel Center, and a former Washington Post reporter. Her books include Moments of Grace: Meeting the Challenge to Change and Laughing in the Dark: From Colored Girl to Woman of Color—A Journey from Prison to Power. She is based in South Carolina.
